New Boat Designs

  • Scale model #6 of "GeoYak" 11' 2" canoe.  It has 3 temporary molds.  The beam is 38" at the gunwales.  The sides are 14" with a constant flair of 74 degrees.  Top of transom is 16 1/2" wide for optional small motor.
  • Newly designed by U.P. Wooden Boat, the GeoYak will launch in Spring '05.  The scale model is done, plans are being made now.  Building material is 2 sheets of 5.2mm lauan plywood plus small piece for stern deck.
